Nice talk today by Ruth Crean, she is the designer from Nice Day Designs. She designs a lot of her clothes on the idea of Upcyclimg, something which we have to do for the Contemporary Art module.
The idea for us is to pick something from the Hunt Museum in Limerick city and make a model of it using old electronic parts etc..should be some interesting results...!
Eco Fashion is an interesting notion... I wonder can this be applied to any of the items in the hunt museum? Do you think we can apply ethics to items from antiquity or is this a modern notion?

ReplyDeleteNot sure if it is a modern notion, but it can always be argued that all items are innocuous until an 'intent' has been applied..such as guns don't kill people...Chuck Norris does..:)
