René Bohne - Workshop/Talk

We had one of our final workshop/talks today by René Bohne from the RWTH Aachen University in Germany. He discussed many interesting topics from Arduino to Fab Labs. If UL could develop a Fab Lab, this would really open up some interesting concepts to prototype, and put UL on the Map as the only college in Ireland to have one.

There was a little bit of Déjà vu on the Arduino side for some of us, but Réne seems to know it inside out and could explain all questions put to him in detail.

Project

Although I will be discussing my own project here in further detail in the coming weeks, it is tentatively called an ' Urban Explorer Device'....focusing on the many potentials it could have, such as Locative Art & Media. Link

Project Presentation

Project Presentation due tomorrow for the whole class.

This should be a great way to see what everyone is doing & discuss the issues they may have encountered so far or what they perceive may be potential problems to overcome.
